Smithfield Foods Ltd is the UK arm of Virginia based Smithfield Foods Inc, the biggest pork processing company in the world.

Formed in 2004, from a merger of The Norwich Food Company and Ridpath PEK, Smithfield can now supply the retail, food processing and foodservice industries with a comprehensive range of fresh, frozen, canned and deli meats, branded or own-label.

And the name? Actually, it comes from the city of Smithfield, Virginia, not the London meat market. But we’re confident that it will soon be just as famous in the UK meat business.
